So the members AREN'T the GFA after all. Thanks for confirming this in
public. I already knew it.
How would the GFA know what glider pilots think about the licence idea?
They've never asked them even after two years of GFA input into the
licensing issue.
Do you think it could have made it into the magazine or the GFA website in
that time?
Has it been raised at Annual Council meetings so the Councillers could take
it back to the state associations?
Anyone here from a State remember it being raised at an association meeting
in the last two years?
If Ron Cant or anyone else wants to run a GFA training club organisation I
certainly won't stop them. It isn't the only way to go gliding and I expect
the same courtesy.
I have no problem with parliament making reasonable rules about sport
aviation, I do have a problem with handing the making of these rules to a
private monopoly which doesn't even directly elect its directors.
It isn't the contributors to this group who are unrepresentative, it is the
GFA executive. Why else are they too gutless to face a direct election?
