Rolling round the floor at this one! What a joke! If this is how CASA
employees think, the regulator is even more incompetent than the industry
thinks it is. Sport aviation administration in Oz is a shambles, at least
in gliding.

This leads to private mafias running aspects of the law that are properly
the role and responsibility of governments who at least are accountable to
the people.
The United States EAA, easily the most successful sport aviation body in
the world, will have no part in actually administrating aviation law
whether it is pilot licensing or issuing airworthiness certificates.
