My experience in contests is that it is usually your fiercest direct competitor who will come and get you. Because they want you to be at the start tomorrow. I wonder where this misgiving about the inconvenience in outlanding comes from. It seems to be a major deterrent to many pilots with gliders better than mine who choose to not enter contests, even when the venue is at their home club, and their glider is sitting rigged in its own hangar there. Wonder how they'd cope flying in to the contest site by glider before the contest without a car, trailer or crew. I suspect Waikerie will be a pilot friendly event. When it was first mooted, a meeting at Waikerie received over 2 dozen people coming from clubs all around South Australia offering to support the running of the event. -- Emilis Prelgauskas B.ARCH ARAIA [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- * You are subscribed to the aus-soaring mailing list. * To Unsubscribe: send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] * with "unsubscribe aus-soaring" in the body of the message * or with "help" in the body of the message for more information.
