Looking at a picture of the unit on

I would have to think that the LCD is a custom job made specifically for that 
unit (or a family of very similar ones).  It's definitely not a 
straightforward generic alphanumeric or dot matrix one that might be used in 
hundreds of different products.

Your only option is likely to be a Bendix-King repairer.
