This morning I acted as a chauffeur and drove the Emirates
Airline Senior Vice President - Safety from Bne Airport to Southport for
the Annual Seminar of The International Society of Air Safety
Investigators. The said gentleman just happens to be the father of
two of my grandchildren!
I showed him Wombat's post on the above subject and asked for
comment. He confirmed the 8.5 psi differential and added that he had heard
of instances in some airlines where the crew has turned off one of the air
conditioning packs at night to "assist pax to get to sleep"
