Apart from other issues already mentioned with the IS28, all metal
gliders tend to be more expensive to maintain (as I understand it)
compared to GFRP.

There is also the issue of looks - in an operation where 'marketing' is
important (and gliding clubs generally have to market themselves, some
more than others), the looks of an all metal glider are more difficult
to maintain than GFRP.

The DG505 looks interesting - and I have emailed Tom Gilbert and am
waiting for more info.
