Don't
worry too much about it Chris.
While
Mikes hints about starboard/larboard(port) and riding horses on the left of
the road have some basis in history, the story of the shuttle and the horses
bums is just a good story. Plausible on the face of it but essentially not
true (at least, the explicit links in the story are not
true).
