Last weekend we introduced members of the local aero club to gliding, some even showed a genuine interest in our kind of flying - then again A large number of our members on our airfield were also Aero Club members.

I'd always been keen on flying, but back in 1991 I'd never really heard of gliding, so I started GA training. My assumption was that flying=GA. Fortunately, I've since learnt that this is incorrect, and found out how wonderful gliding is as recreational (and cheaper!) flying. I wonder how many other potential glider pilots are in the same situation? Perhaps the place to advertise gliding is in the GA magazines?
