I wandered thro the Bull Creek museum on Saturday. ES57 Kingfisher GRE is suspended from the roof of the main civil aviation display space.
I didn't see it on Saturday, however I have previously seen a Slingsby Gull in the museum. Their literature still talks of this aircraft. I remember it had Sydney University or some such label on it. There is also another glider awaiting restoration. It is in pretty ragged condition. I didn't recognise the type, however it was a single seater, wood/fabric, high wing, strutted machine. The Bull Creek museum is run by the Air Force Association. It is well worth a visit. The civil aviation section is slightly WA oriented. The military section includes Vampire, Spitfire, Lancaster, Dakota, Neptune and Macchi. There are moves afoot to move the museum from Bull Creek (south of town) to Whitemans (north of town). Apparently the museum will be shut down for 6 months during the move.
