I think this is covered in some of Martin Simons' writings or may be
Alan Ash.

The design of the ES52 Mk2 was a re-working of the design to meet BCAR
Section E.
Gary Sunderland may know some of the history. I have seen his name on
some weight and balance calculations that I think were done for the DCA.
