Just a thought I had for clubs - Telstra etc offer
faxstream Duet but this can be used to have 2 numbers on the one
line The main enquire number can be answered at the club or when
no one answers be redirected *61# then number to where ever
you like inc mobiles (at least phone gets answered - or answer service if you
wish) and this be the duet number which rings with "brup brup" tone.
The other phone number can be only received in club house and if nobody there it
rings out and it is for club members to ring in on. It would have the
normal ring tone we are all used to. Also this number can be barred
for long distance calls where the duet number can be used long distance
by committee on club business - access is to outside line is *11*3# I
seem to remember
The technology is there and can assure you it works
well (I could be wrong on codes etc) I
bring this up as I sometimes become frustrated and making contact with clubs at
short notice.
While on club things efpost machines can be a
good idea and you can really knock the banks down on fees but you need quotes
from other banks to beat sense into your club bank!! Geoff Sim for
those that know him ASH25 is an expert with dealing with banks - exagerate
turnover and keep average transaction high and down comes the rate!!!
Besides it does help the treasurer. I will give the tips off line if you
need them.
