This argument of course can be made for everything we use. From the list of radio frequencies we get handed in our morning briefing; the photocopied map the club makes; the information we get on aus-soaring; the information in the GPS on height above ground; the GPS manufacturer; the GPS errors; The FLARM collision database; the FLARM code; the list goes on... Not just in flying either: Your speedo is wrong, you drive 100 around a corner and spin out in a 100K zone when you should have driven slower; and many more... 

Like using your GPS and Organiser to say how high above the ground you are - you are responsible for your own flight and own safety.  Many of the tools we use (eg: stay out of danger areas) do not mean we are danger free, only that that place is dangerous. Use with common sense.

The tools are only a help and guide. Having an extra tool that tells you about a potential danger can only help.

This is really way beyond my ability to argue, I am just not experienced enough, but it is of the same level as FLARM - and that has been argued to death here and on many sites - so you can refer to the arguments there.
