Neat animated movie!

I do note that the glider moves downwind in this as well as across the wind.

The models seem to be able to stay in one place by gaining enough energy surplus, downwind of a ridge, which exaggerates the apparent wind shear. I guess that might be useful in a full size glider in some circumstances.
