Trouble is that the Japanese authorities are reluctant to allow old gliders to fly. Mr Honda is very sick with a terminal problem. Ken Ueyama is helping with the future of the aircraft Mr Honda has. In the Japanese gliding museum they are currently retoring the Condor 4 two seater which will be based in Australia. We are hoping the same will happen with the L/W Kookaburra and Kingfisher. Speaking of high tows, when the Golden Eagle was displayed at Oshkosh in 2000 one of the smarter Yanks asked Alan how high the aerotow was to enable it to fly to the USA.

In storage waiting restoration by a Japanese Mr Smith (Honda). He has a few other old woodies too.

If it was VH-GHD it is now in Japan along with Kookaburra VH-GLR.
