Yes the hot water is gas on demand. We are also quite frugal (efficient) on our other energy uses.
It is a two storey townhouse. A whirligig air vent plumbed in through the ceiling extracts a lot of hot air from upstairs in the summer (we close the vent for winter). Best bit of work on the place that I ever did. For less than $100, I managed to significantly reduce the upstairs temperature and save us from using the aircon on many evenings - it has saved us a lot of kW hours. > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Anthony Smith > > > > > Having worked through our power bill with Justine > > recently, approx two thirds of our power bill over last > > summer was simply for the fridge running 24/7. > > > > And the next biggest chunk would be the airconditioner (or > maybe hot water service if Anthony hasn't got a gas one). > > 2/3 is a little more than I would expect, but a totally > unsurprising discovery especially if he has a gas HWS and > oven and doesn't use the airconditioner cos he's out > flying in summer (like all good glider pilots should be!). > > Regards > SWK > > ********************************************************** > ************ This email and any file attachments are > confidential and intended solely for the use of the > individual or entity to whom they are addressed. > If you have received this email in error please tell us > immediately by return email and delete the document. > The information in this email expresses the opinion of the > author and does not necessarily represent the views of > ETSA Utilities. > ********************************************************** > ************ _______________________________________________ Aus-soaring mailing list [email protected] To check or change subscription details, visit: http://lists.internode.on.net/mailman/listinfo/aus-soaring
