Another suggestion: See if you can find a set of motor-bike shoes with
the right curvature. Then cut them down and drill to suit.
Also, Athol Holtham (RAAF Richmond Gliding Club) has refurbished his Cobra
in recent years and should be able to advise you.

No proper answer but I can give clues. :)
AL-KO manufacture in Victoria, including brakes. They have a website:

I don't know if the brakes are compatible but it's a place to start.
There will be an agent in your nearest large town. He will probably be
your next best move.
They can be VERY slow.
