Hi Reg,

You need to install the maps on to a memory card (Usually PDA'S have an SD
memory slot, same as the cards used in digital cameras), they are usually to
big to fit in the relatively small PDA memory.

Remember, after you set everything up to your satisfaction to do a total PDA
backup onto the memory card, making restoring the PDA, with all your custom
settings a simple matter.

2 Gig cards go for around $50 these days, and as a bonus you can load some
MP3 music (250 tracks/gigabyte) on the card to play thru the PDA, if you get
one of the cheap FM modulators such as Jaycar have you can play thru your
car FM radio.

Regards

Subject: [Aus-soaring] Airis PDA

Chaps,

I have purchased an Airis PDA 620 with GPS Wifi and Blue tooth as mentioned
on this list. I am having trouble insalling the Route 66 GPS road mapping
program. When I try to run the said program a dialogue box apprears stating
not enough memory to run this map. Can any one help.

Reg
