Some of you may remember that I did this exercise for the May emails. I
was overseas for much of June and July - Italy generally, and Rieti in
particular, are great places to visit! This is the first month since
May where I have had complete enough data to try again.

Nbr of emails: 385 219
Nbr of contributors: 85 59
Av emails/person: 4.5 3.7
Median emails/person: 2 2
Largest contributor: 36 14 (not the same person)

More than half the contributions were made by 12 people (13 in May)
More than 75% were made by 23 people (29 in May)
Half the contributors provided 82% of the emails (86% in May)
23 people contributed only once (30 in May).
On topics, I found:
56 separate topics (45 in May)
Most popular topic was around tuit (22 emails)
2nd was the smoking LS10 (12). What was it smoking, anyway?
Equal 2nd was Luesse Preworlds (12)
More than half the emails were on 11 topics (8 in May)
More than 75% of emails were on 23 topics (16 in May)
17 topics had only one email (9 in May)
I had some problems when I changed ISP's partway through the month (no
fault of the ISP), and so could not make anything meaningful from the
dates.
Back in May it was reported that there were 313 people subscribed.
Perhaps Mark Newton can update us on that figure.
