So what's your point , Mark?

Did you bother to read the paper which uses the IPCC's own
predictions and matches them against real world measurements?

What exactly is wrong about that paper, Mark? The claimed IPCC model
outputs are wrong? The Hadley Centre's radiosonde data are wrong? The
Hadley Centre aren't exactly renowned AGW skeptics and the radiosonde
data is a matter of public record. It would seem pointless to
misrepresent the IPCC model outputs.

So what is it?

BTW the "sponsorships" you reference (a few $10,000 here and there)
don't even begin to measure up against the billions being
enthusiastically pushed by governments on scientists who will toe
the party line. The contrived theories and data torturing that goes
on has to be seen to be believed(or not).

I searched for the "Center for Media and Democracy" who run sourcewatch:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_for_Media_and_Democracy Yeah, I
know it's wikipedia but it's probably at least as reliable as sourcewatch.

Appears to be a left wing propaganda/lobby group. But you could
probably guess that from the name. You might like to look in to the
backers of the realclimate website also. Check out Fenton Communications.

If anybody is wondering what this has to do with soaring, just
remember that this is a very fossil fuel intensive activity when you
look in to it. Lots of fuel involved in simply getting to where it
takes place let alone the launching and retrieving. The current
carbon fiber shortage also owes a fair bit to it being used in wind
turbine blades and the carbon and resins are all derived from fossil fuels.

Towing glider trailers behind bubble cars isn't going to work all
that well either and I wonder how long before "frivolous" activities
like any form of private aviation are heavily circumscribed or
banned, all in the name of CO2 emissions reductions. Some in the UK
are calling for the rationing of air travel - and they are the
Conservatives! By then we'll all have lots else to worry about as
our economies collapse.

All this climate change hysteria is about as sensible as burning
witches. Our civilisation used to have enough of a grip on reality
and belief in reason to be able to land men on the moon and send our
eyes to the outer reaches of our solar system. I'm glad I lived
through that, it seems unlikely to be repeated.

Mike
