I trouble shot a vario installation this morning where both varios
were tracking but strange things were happening.

Both varios doing the same thing told me the problem was in the
pressure signals getting to them.

A normal single TE probe was in the fitting in the fin.

Turned out the fitting was for a triple probe.

If you have one of these and don't use all the connections you must
seal the unused lines.

The owners did this and reported back a couple of hours later that
every thingworked properly on the test flight.

A double probe fitting will have the same problem.

The glider was new from the factory and was like this for a year.

A leak check of the TE line with the probe in place would have
revealed the problem.
