Mike, I can confirm that the combination of me in an ASW 20 with a National back style 'chute, probably gives the most comfortable seating I have experienced in a glider. However potential buyers of a 'chute need to be aware that there are at least 4 factors that enter into the comfort equation: Pilot build, Glider cockpit ergonomics: a cushion (which includes a layer of Comfor or similar which may save your back in a heavy landing) can play a part here, Type of 'chute eg slimback (goes under the buttocks) or back pack, And, as you point out, the Pack Style used.
