Hi All, Despite the rumours of the wettest start to April here in the West (80+mm rainfall in about 8 hours), we did manage some flying here at BSS. It was supposed to be a come and try gliding day, but the rain put a dampener to that.
Whilst it was p*ssing down, we helped out with form 2 work on the Ask 21 (BSS), polished the wings and detailed the cockpit. I guess most people don't realise how much grime builds up on release knobs, they are bright yellow now after a jolly good clean! Flying in the DG-1000 commenced just before 3pm WST. Not thermic, but lovely scenery wise. Off in the distance were scattered strato Cu's at 1,000' AGL drpaed over the hills. Looked speccy. And yes, I made sure this post was being sent to the correct list! I hope talking about gliding hasn't upset anyone ;-o M. _______________________________________________ Aus-soaring mailing list [email protected] To check or change subscription details, visit: http://lists.internode.on.net/mailman/listinfo/aus-soaring
