I have seen it happen.   A Pawnee tug running out of fuel.

Fortunately he was close enough to glide in to the airfield.

    I thought it funny that the tug pilot had a copy in his car! For some 
reason the most important thing they stress in the manual is that you monitor 
the fuel.

    As noted earlier, this is how the Pawnee B left the factory. Whether there 
is any resemblance to the current wiring is debatable.
