Been getting frantic call from beside the glider - 303 is not working!! 1 the cable is NOT the same as earlier cambridge NAV - 302 303 needs clip up on one end and down on other (3 reds using cable tester)
2 The 303 MUST be connected to 302 before the unit powers up otherwise 303 will lock up 3 If problems exist with 302 DISCONNECT all accessories (303, 306 repeater, pocketnav, Altair, Clearnav) and slowly add accessories ONE at a time as the accessories can cause the problems. I have seen an addons really buggering up the 302 Thats about it but if using USB to serial converter THE ORDER of connection IS IMPORTANT. Steps are basically (a) connect USB converter (b) fireup CAI/300 series program (c) connect logger/303 to lead Suggest you tie instructions to convertor Just a reminder motorglider 302s can be modified the prevent those spikes which incorrectly indicate a motor run but it must be done by me with over night phonecalls to reseal. And hopefully these 2 emails will save a day of phonecalls over the next year.
