You obviously don't use a 1920x1200 laptop often. Items and font sizes are
about the same size as a UMPC,
you can just have a lot more of them on the screen.
My eyes are fine thanks.
If you have a problem "lugging" a 2.7kg machine like the NC8230, perhaps you
should get your muscles checked......
I find I don't use my small laptops (Which I have had for a number of years) at
all any more,
as an IPAQ4700 (600MHZ 640X480 up to 32gig Flash Card)does portable stuff
(Wireless internet and email, movie and music playing, image viewing, serial
terminal, GPS Car and flight nav, and MS office & PDF files)
very nicely, and is much lighter and more compact than a laptop. Even my mobile
phone, an 02 XDA2 does all this, with less flash memory capacity.
For anything more I would rather carry the extra 1.5kg and have the
performance, display area and multitasking capability advantages.
As always, its horses for courses.
