Wayne - Wombat has provided you will very good advice.
In my job we charter aircraft every day - usually at short notice. My experience is that well run reliable IFR Charter operations do not come cheaply; operations that offer cheaper rates etc to secure your business often have a book full of rhetorical excuses when they are unable to deliver. Simply running late is the biggest problem, the fuel man of security is at the top of the excuse list for running late; they never accept the blame. The No 1 reason we charter is because the job has a degree of urgency that does not allow out taking slower cheaper forms of transport. Reminds me of an old saying "If you want to loss a day, go GA" SDF _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Wayne Carter Sent: Wednesday, 8 April 2009 12:44 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Aus-soaring] cheap chartering Hi knowledge gang The company I am currently slaving for has service persons that need to get to regional towns (mainly in eastern states) in short notice. Do any of you know of a way to interface with pilots who would be needing to update their annual hours in return for aircraft rental, fuel, small charge, etc? Is this legal (or better, is it possible) and kosher? Thanks for your input Wayne Carter
