A friend saw the prototype MITRE box mentioned in the article, at the SSA
convention over a year ago. Apparently it looked good.
The fellow who is in charge of the project for the FAA is more interested in
producing paperwork and big speak (otherwise known as BS) than a device that
can be implemented and afforded easily.
