From what I gather, the cost of the spot tracker relates to the Iridium-based
tracker systems like the Ka-6 relates to the cost of an AS-G29. One would hope
the latter in each case has some added benefit.
My spot tracker lost the last few position reports one day and appeared on
the website that I did not land where I had launched. Since then I have always
sent an OK message from the landing field. For some obscure reason that has
always gone through.
