Al,
I did not see the aircraft, I heard it on the radio and it appeared to
be operating as a powered aircraft
receiving and responding to heading vectors and altitude assignments just
like anyone else as it mixed it with
B737, DHC8 etc. Like you I am not a lawyer - but it did appear unusual and
hence why I asked the initial question :-)
Wallabies are doing well.

Hi,
I'm no lawyer, but what's the problem?
If it's a motorglider, and operating with the engine off, surely using
"glider" as a prefix is far more useful for everyone else?
As long as the pilot has a PPL, and has a valid clearance, I thought it'd be
A-OK.
Cheers,
Al

Adam,
Thanks - if this is the case we have a RAAus registered aircraft
operating inside C Class airspace using a glider prefix
for its Radio Callsign - I am staying well away from that one.
