Joey was enough of a barograph for my 1000km diploma and speed records!
It also gives an IGC file, why don't Tim and Mike talk through any problems,
plenty of them sitting around. Mine never failed me - ever!!! [unlike some
approved loggers]

Actually, both would need to be approved.  But since the Joey also records
position, the Joey could potentially qualify for approval both as a PR and a
barograph, similar to OzFlarm.  This would depend in part on the existence of a
suitable security system for the Joey download.  I can't remember what it
does.  I was under the impression that Joeys qualified already as a
calibratable stand-alone barograph.

Cheers

Only if Tim ever approves the 72 as a position recorder.
The Joey records the pressure altitude.

So, Mike, if I hook up my Garmin 72 (no pressure sensor) to my Joey and
the Joey starts recording, is it getting the pressure data from the
barograph or GPS altitude from the GPS for the trace? I know that it will
output an IGC file (with a G Number?)but will this combination (perhaps)
satisfy what Tim is talking about?

Regards,

Dave
