I don't think so.
SF writer Larry Niven once wrote a short essay called something like
"Why men fight and what you can do about it"
His conclusion was that men fight because they like it and there's
nothing you can do about it.
Unfortunately it takes two to make peace and only one of the two to
make war. (you can read "believing that only our point of view is the
correct one" for "making war" if you like)
