I remember in one of the last Gulf wars that the US destroyed an old people's home in Bagdad. Very regrettable incident. Until you realised that they don't have old people's homes in Iraq and the US claim that it was an OPH was a cynical ploy to implant the idea that it was only a lot of old people who were in fact waiting to die who were offed, and therefore less important. The concept of someone sitting in a bunker somewhere... Canberra, Langley, Brighton... and unleashing a horrible death on anyone on the other side of the globe scares me to death.
