Why are you struggling WITH such sensible a basic concept?
You have a DEL key and ample opportunity to configure mailbox filters. Why have you even bothered to bring this subject up?
The only possible reason to demand that Robert change his behaviour is to impose the "solution" to a private problem of your own making on everyone else too, whether they like it or not.
I reckon Robert's messages are on-topic, and others have indicated that they find them valuable. If you disagree please switch from digest mode to live mode, configure some filters and stop wasting everyone else's time, okay?
