Oh dear! Must've been one helluva downburst. OK, let's open the gates, let's hear everyone's "worst sink I have ever experienced" stories. A good going microburst can go down at a rate of knots though. Mind you every time I fly powered aircraft out of Jandakot (or anyone flies GA out of Moorabbin, Archerfield, Bankstown, Parafield) the places to land (if it all goes to poop) are pretty limited too.
