Wish I was there Ross, Hong Kong outside my window this morning is grey, cold
and visibility about 3km. I dream of blue skies!

Narromine Cup is experiencing some fantastic weather this week.  The earlier
rain this year has made the countryside look absolutely beautiful and it is
picture perfect.  If you are not at Narromine this week you are missing some
great soaring.
It looks like the weather gods are smiling on Narromine with a trough setting
up for the whole week to provide a reliable weather pattern in the central
west.  This is not a rain trough it is what produces Narromine’s classic great
soaring weather and it is really delivering this year.

So far each day there have been Cumulus with lots of streeting and cloud bases
to 8,000ft pls. Paul Mander is running a performance flying coaching program
and there have been some great long distance flights as a result.
Kevin Leo did a 300k+ in his Standard Cirrus, Brian Hayhow did a “quick 325k
just to warm up for the week” in his Discus B, Shinzo did a 750k on Saturday,
Barney did 350k in his LS1 with good climbs to 9,000ft , Bernie Baer did 600k
in 5 hours on Sunday with Paul Mander, climbs to 10,000ft and got around 470k
yesterday again with strong with climbs to 10,000ft.

We have a classic Narromine Cup Week happening again this year and of you
aren’t there you are missing it.
Cheers, ROSS
