Perfect gliding conditions today at Narromine.

The weather man David Wilson presented the forecast and at 10.00am the cumulus
popped just north of the airfield and the rush was on with tugs ensuring a
continuous launch of sailplanes heading off on flights from 500 to 800klms set
in their loggers. A light tailwind is helping on the first leg as most head to
the southern turn points to meet up excellent conditions predicted in front of
the change in northern Victoria. At this time we have 5/8 of cu cover to the
horizon in every direction.

The high spirits and camaraderie amongst the pilots who are enjoying the cup
week continues to make this a great fun week of gliding. The prediction is for
a better day tomorrow.

If you can sneak a day or two off work, get going!

Cheers, ROSS
