I remember that you protested that it was scored incorrectly and we were summonsed to the scoring room.
Fact 1 It was scored incorrectly according to rule 8.5 as you so profanely pointed with the persons present as per your rant. 8.5 SCORING FORMULA 8.5.1 Daily Time Scores The day is not a valid day if there are no finishers. The scores shall be displayed in hours, minutes and seconds. For finishers: S = T 8.5.2 Daily Place Scores For the winner of the day: If Nf < 9, P = Nf – R + 2 If Nf ≥ 9, P = 10 – R + 1 For all finishers: If Nf < 9, P = Nf - R + 1 If Nf ≥ 9, P = 10 - R If a bonus has been given, the score for the pilot first rounding the designated turn point is: P = P + 1 8.5.3 Overall Place Scores For each pilot: O = P1 + P2 + etc… Fact 2 Additionally it was scored incorrectly according to rule 7.7.7 20 Meter Multi-Seat Class b. CREW The crew shall consist of two pilots Jo’s Blog December 6 docx excerpt below Blatent Lie 1 Mark & I placed 1st and Peter Summersby and yourself placed 2nd. Day 6 double-seater winners were Ross McLean & Mark Rowe with an average speed of 102.3 km/h over the 255.5 km for 3 points; equal first were Peter Summersby & Mal Bruce with an average speed of 98.4 km/h; the bonus point for being first to Mullengudgery gave Mal & Peter a total of 3 points for the day also. The fact that you had prior knowledge as on the morning of the 6 December 2008 after you received a call about the scoring being wrong Mark who called a person on his mobile and proclaimed words to the effect “Is mum their get her to come over and see this we've got them f**ked now” On morning of December 6 The Narromine Gliding Grand Prix task setter then came and read what was on the seat of your car see I took photos as proof from Masseys office when the task setter Beryl came over to read the rules on your car seat Ross with you standing behind her. Looks like your cheating to me! or is that Professor Teresa Brennan leaning in your car On the way down the first leg I heard Mark say on the radio “That's one card off the table” on getting to the first turn point for the bonus point. Do me favour Ross without telling me to F**K off this time and remove the third image from the website as It is my copyright image http://www.narromineglidingclub.com.au/Media/NGC%20Clubhouse%20Collage%20750x143.jpg So Ross post the trophy down to Peter when you get home and I will get over it. From: Ross McLean Sent: Thursday, March 24, 2011 3:18 AM To: 'Discussion of issues relating to Soaring in Australia.' ; 'Mal Bruce' Subject: RE: [Aus-soaring] Mal, Cheating, and Right and Wrong Well Mal, Normally I don’t bother responding to your Aus-soaring posts, rather just press the Delete button. However this time you have called me a cheat and I can’t let that one pass, I detest cheating and those people who do it. There have only been two times I have competed against you in a gliding competition in the same class. The most recent was the 2009 NSW State comps in 18m class where I placed 6th and you placed 10th. The first was at the 20m GP at Narromine, where Mark Rowe and I shared the Narromine Duo Discus and you flew with Peter Summersby in Massie’s Duo Discus. In that competition Mark & I placed 1st and Peter Summersby and yourself placed 2nd. That competition was run by Henk Meertens, a man who holds two of the FAI’s highest awards, The Paul Tissandier Diploma and the FAI Silver Medal. Henk also sits on the Airservices Australia Board of Directors where he holds the position of Chairman of the Board Safety Committee and is a life member of the GFA. The competition organizer was Beryl Hartley, known to just about everyone in the gliding community world wide, a former President of the GFA, a life member of GFA, current Treasurer of the Sports Committee and holder of the FAI Pelagia Majewska Medal, awarded by the FAI for eminent services to gliding over a long period of time. The Referee for that competition was Rob Moore OAM, a life member of the GFA, past President of the Sports Committee and one of the nicest and most honest people I have ever met in my life. These pre-eminent citizens of the gliding community ran that competition and made all the decisions Mal, all I did was fly around the course faster than you did on most days, there was no cheating involved, just better flying. Get over it. No flaming, just the facts. ROSS _________________________________________________
