Not so - both reports are of the same accident and are almost identically
worded in places: same location, same time, same intended flight track and
pilot injury. I doubt there are that many fields near Appleton Wiske!
What it does show is that it pays to know where you are relative to local
towns and villages, because your GPS can be damaged when you most need to
know your precise location and a reference by landmarks, roads or villages
can help the emergency services. It eventually took a passer-by to work
out where he was.
