I found it the other day. There seems to be a deregistered register

If there is an ES59 in the USA, it isn't registered.
Unfortunately it's about three years since FAA required re-registering every
three years to purge wrecked, etc aircraft from the registry.
Each registration number has a history, so finding lost aircraft in USA is
easier using the N number.

I didn't mind either. :)

The Arrow has a distinctive lump where the skid stops 1/2 way back to the main
wheel. This doesn't have it so I agree it isn't an ES59. I must get back to
the one in my shed…

I’ll revisit my sources, but from memory that was the caption.

      Chris,

I can't enlarge the photo but I did put on my glasses. No way is that the
Arrow. Firstly, its Yellow, the one that went to the Argentine was white.
Secondly, if you look closely the wheel is actually a dolly wheel attached to
the skid. the glider is I believe a Skylark 3.

Dads memory and eyesight are reaching that certain stage.

      Cheers

It is, I showed it to your Dad at Bordertown and read the article online.
      Can’t you enlarge the pic?
Just got an email from Caleb about it and he thought it would be good for
him to follow up on it.
Told him your Dad had the most recent contact with the owner.
Just sent a heavy but polite email to Ian Grant. I’ll forward it to you.
I want to get on with the other GFA issues but cannot until these are out
of the way as they cannot handle too much stress at once.

Not sure about that. The pic is too small but I can't see the nose skid.

The yellow aircraft is the ES59 Arrow that competed there in the early
60’s. Only pic I can find.
A/C is now languishing I believe in a trailer in California.
