My name is Geoff Langsworth, I live in Edenhope and I am the Secretary
of the Edenhope and District Historical Society.
I am researching the former Edenhope Glider and Sailplane Club that was
formed in Edenhope on 27th April 1953.
A " google " search located entries for Edenhope on the Waikerie
Gliding Club's website for Australian Gliding , August 1953 page 11 and
December 1953 page 24. Finding these entries , I then searched the old
newspapers for Edenhope around August 1953 and found an article
regarding the formation of the club. I have attaced a copy for your
information.
The club existed for some years before disbanding but I do not know the
date or year. I am wondering if you have any records showing the date
the club disbanded ?
