Did notice on my phone on "Flight Radar 24" a number of Dutch gliders
flying out Corowa last summer and you could see them on the last leg of
their triangle for the day. I assume they had Mode S transponders.

In my opinion the danger area at regional country airports is 25nm out as
the IFR aircraft descents through 10000ft. At a new site I try and check
ERC Low and look for the "railway lines" leading in to these airports and
transfer this info to my WAC. I just take care in these areas and will try
and find the ETAs in the mid afternoon for the RPTs.

Over the years have had a few close ones the most recent was a REX SAAB 340
on decent into Narrandera at about 25nm out and we were at about 7000ft
heading towards Temora. REX reported us and we advised GFA and paperwork
followed. After that REX gave a descending through 10000ft on 122.7MHz
each afternoon.
