The alternative is stay away from airports that have RPT flights; good luck, I can't see you being successful.
If anything airport security is expanding its grip on how we move on and off airports, yesterday as a passenger, along with everyone else off my flight I was security screened in the terminal on arrival - that's after having had been screened twice to get on the flight! Why? I have no idea why; do you?
