They’ll “recognize” that in the same way they recognize an Australian Part 61 license, in that the FAA will make you jump through the same hoops to turn it into an American one before you can fly an N-registered glider. Now that CASA offers an ICAO-compliant Glider Pilot License, other ICAO contracting states are likely to defer to them for license equivalency. You may find that France is less accommodating now than it was a year ago (and if they haven’t changed yet, just give them time…) - mark
