Hi, Jean, Second reply, about work flow. On 6/6/2010 19:12, Jean Hollis Weber wrote: the Sun Wiki

Doesn't that change the work flow considerably? From what I can see, the extension puts its output directly on the wiki. My macros will only work on wiki-formatted text that is still on your computer. If you ran the extension on a whole chapter, then cut a page-size chunk off the wiki, and pasted it locally, then you could run the macros, and copy&paste the result back to its new wiki page. Seems like a lot of work.
Claire provided a fascinating link on Wikipedia[1], for OO.o tools. There's a German site (instructions in both languages) with a translation macro, that produces local output, the way the old Export To MediaWiki used to. If it translates well enough for our purposes, my macros could post-process that output. (I also note that the German translation procedure automatically selects all the wiki text and copies it to the clipboard for you, ready to paste. I can add that to my stuff if you want, but it's only two compound keystrokes, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, to do it yourself. For my own use, I would comment that out, or at least deselect the text; one stutter on the keyboard, and your whole output vanishes.)
As far as the style garbage in the tables goes, sure, I can clean that out, if I can figure which tables *not* to clean; there may be a few tables that need the style info. And from what I see in the comments on the SWP extension, it's the extension's problem, not our use of styles.
Please let me know what the work flow will be, so I can install whatever I need, run some tests, and examine the output, after which I can adjust my macro accordingly.
