Sharon, I'm having trouble visualising just what you are doing. Have you downloaded the chapter ODT file to your computer, opened it in OOo, and then tried to save under another name? Or, when you go to download the chapter ODT file, does it open in your browser and then you try to save it from there? If the latter, that could be the problem. Save the file directly from the website to your computer. You will find that some words are highlighted in grey. That is normal, because the grey marks things like index entries, fields, and other features. Without looking at the file, I don't know what is causing things to move. There are various possibilities. Sometimes pictures move if people have not anchored them properly. Text may go strange if you don't have the correct font on your computer; OOo then substitutes another font. I have not seen this happen when saving; usually it happens when opening a file.
