I'm delighted to have the opportunity to speak for all Mac users!

I agree that we don't need a full list. All I'd really want to see is a brief
list showing the substitutions: "Control = Command", "Tools > Options =
OpenOffice.org > Preferences", "F11 = Command+T", etc.

And while I think just putting the list in Chapter 1 of each book is a good
idea, I wonder if it would also make sense to put a note at the beginning of
each chapter pointing Mac folks to the location of the list. As a user of
OpenOffice.org documentation, I'm far more likely to consult only a specific
chapter than to read the documentation from the beginning like a novel; some
people may be downloading individual chapters or reading them through the wiki,
and not pulling up the entire PDF.

The first time I encountered the problem we're talking about (several months
back, when I'd consulted one of the chapters on Styles in the Writer book), I
did a glance through the chapter I was reading to see if I'd missed a reference
to Mac function keys being different. When I didn't find such a reference in
the chapter I was reading, I shrugged and moved on because I'm just too lazy
and irritable to start searching other chapters.
