Hi all,

I just uploaded a new variation:
http://oooauthors.org/art/artproject/new20_template-dc5.sxw/file_view
This is what I changed:
1) I think Janet's right. The thin bars don't look good at all. I went
back to wider bars.
2) I put the chapter title on the bar, in Peter's style.
3) As suggested by Janet (or was it Jean?) I moved the OOoAuthors logo to
the copyright page. I agree it fits better there. I tried to make it
similar to how my physics textbook does it. I changed the OOoCopyright
page style to have an extra-wide footer, and I put the logo there. I also
added the OOoAuthors URL (right-indented).
4) Janet pointed out the absence of a "Chapter N". So there's no
indication that the document is just a chapter from a larger work. I
noticed we have a seemingly unused OOoChapter style. So I decided to grab
it for this purpose. In the title page I added a "Chapter N" using this
paragraph style.
I admit I'm not quite happy with the title page, but I don't know what to
do with it. As for the copyright page, I think it's much improved. I think
that putting the OOoAuthors logo there instead of the title cover was a
good idea.
I also want to say that I liked Janet's reminder that white space is a
perfectly good design element. I actually like a sparse, non-cluttered
design.
Linda, please take a look at this design. Do you think I'm going in the
right direction? What would you change?
Cheers,
Looks good. My question is, if the ToC goes longer than one page, will
we need to delete on the blank page so that the 1st page is on the right
hand side?
It is trivial, I was just curious.
