The first page of the body *always* starts on a right-hand page, because the body uses a different page style from the front matter and the page numbers start again at 1. The first OOoHeading1 in the body is set up to do this. I'm not sure why there is a blank page at the end of the front matter in the template. It may have got there by mistake when I rearranged the order of items in the front matter. I'll probably remove it from the template when I'm doing the final changes. Regards, Jean
