:-) I'm alright, Peter. Thank you. I was very tired. I slept 11 hours, from 3:30 AM to 4:30 AM. I almost missed an IRC meeting, but I made it. :-) > Anyway, when we finish the new template, I would suggest that we either > create or page or at least send out a refresher e-mail about how to use > it. That's definitely a good idea. Most things will be just like the old one, but a few will change. Mostly just removing steps though. But in any event, you're right. We should. I'm under the impression that the new template is "almost done" (Jean?, Janet?). If so, perhaps we'll see an email soon. > Shouldn't work that we have all called the template the same thing and > have it in the same place so that when I load up a doc based on the > template, my copy of OOo can look at the template and know think it is > the same one? Did that make sense? Most of us are not using OOo's template feature correctly. Probably because we are too novice with it. I expect that only Jean and Janet really know how to use a template well. When I need to update the styles, what I usually do is: 1. Go to Format > Styles > Load 2. Select the template. 3. Check all boxes (including "Overwrite"). 4. Click OK. If I haven't installed the template I need, then I can always go to "From file" and select the file directly.
