Hi Richard, Thank you for asking.
We use a really cool feature called "record changes". It's much better than using separate files or separate fonts: 1. Open the document. 2. Go to Edit > Changes > Record. With this feature, OOo will keep track of all the changes done to the document. No need to use a different font or anything. In fact, it is better if you don't. Just make changes the way you normally would, and just let OOo keep track of them. If you want to see how OOo is keeping track of the changes, select Edit > Changes > Show. You'll see that when you delete something, OOo crosses it out. Kind of like if you took a red pen and crossed out a sentence. And when you type, OOo shows the addition in red. In addition to this, when you hand in the reviewed document, the maintainer will be able to accept/reject changes idividually. OOo has a neat dialog that makes this very easy. While we are on this subject, let me mention another neat feature OOo has. It's called "notes". It's like adding yellow sticky notes to the document. Just go to Insert > Note. Type the note and click OK. You can write something like "I don't understand this section", or "good job Jean!", or whatever. You get the idea. Please do use these features. They are very important for making OOoAuthors work smoothly. Without those, this project would never have gotten this far. Cheers, Daniel.
